Woodside - Trail run

Another Pacific Coast Trail run in an incredible setting. The venue was at the top of Kings Mountain Road in Huddart Park, Woodside. The best thing about all these races is the fact that I am runnning, biking and swimming in some of the most beautiful areas of the San Francisco Bay. Todays event was a 17K trail run with 1890 feet of elevation gain and fall. Mostly single track with towering Redwoods and tree ferns. The run started with 2 mile down hill and then the climbing started and didn't let up for the next 6 miles. Everytime I thought we were at the summit, another turn, another twist and more climbing. We finally topped out and it was basically a 4 miles downhill run to the finish area.
